Position Overview
The Information Technology team, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking an IT PMO Analyst. Under the direction of the Senior Manager, IT PMO & Strategic Planning, the IT PMO Analyst will collaborate with regional and global team members to capture information and build compelling communications related to the IT strategy with limited supervision. The individual selected will be in a high visibility role supporting the Office of the CIO and executive leadership on a global scale!
Responsibilities & QualificationsResponsibilities
Encourage a culture of PMO standard methodologies, including adherence to processes and procedures from various governance groups.
Maintain existing departmental and Project Office policies and procedures.
Continue to update and improve project methodologies, provide mentoring and training to other PMs and act as an SME on PMO processes and procedures.
Support team members in the planning, directing, and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
Liaise with a range of teams from PMO, Portfolio Management, Management, Program/Project Managers, providing insightful financial and business analysis and developing senior management reports, to define and track key operational/program metrics and to help drive business decisions to achieve goals.
Proactively follow customer concern and change control processes, when necessary.
Apply proficient MS Excel (e.g., pivots, formulas) and PowerPoint skills to provide effective reporting and documentation including dashboards and scorecards.
Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to optimally communicate issues, risks, and progress on complex processes to multiple collaborators.
Self-initiate, work efficiently when unsupervised, and multitask across multiple concurrent projects.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.
4-6 years of experience with IT project management and professional communications.
Working knowledge of project portfolio management (PPM) tools.
Ability to analyze complex data and broad business strategies and convert them into practical effective communication strategies.
Strong desktop technology skills, including Office 365, MS Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Preferred qualifications
Experience supporting project portfolios and programs using PPM tools like Accolade, ServiceNow, Clarity, Jira, MS Project, or similar tools.
Solid understanding of project methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
Communication Management Professional (CMP) certification.
Critical Communication Management (SCM) certification.
CAPM or PMP certification.
