Essential Job Functions
The Litigation & Practice Delivery Manager will be a key player in overseeing the technical implementation and management of innovation-focused applications. This role will manage both packaged applications and custom solutions, ensuring their alignment with business goals and supporting the operational excellence of our technology landscape. The Manager will work closely with, and report to the Associate Director of E-Discovery and Innovation, helping to steer the firm's application strategy by leveraging their deep architectural knowledge and broad technical skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide architectural guidance and technical oversight across both packaged and custom applications, supporting the needs of practice innovation and AI-driven projects.
Effective at working on multiple projects simultaneously while providing "white glove" customer service.
Lead and manage a team of engineers and oversee a legal applications portfolio, fostering a collaborative environment focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Supervise the delivery of technology solutions, from initial concept through implementation, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and meet stakeholder expectations.
Act as the technical representative in discussions with vendors, including startups and enterprise partners, to evaluate, integrate, and optimize new technologies within the firm's environment.
Work closely with other leaders, Innovation Advisors, BA's, PM's, and other IT teams to ensure technical projects align with strategic goals, driving the firm's technology agenda forward.
Embed in key calls and meetings to help vet and integrate new solutions at the intersection of legal and technology.
Flexible yet structured enough to effectively adjust as needed when/as business requirements and/or priorities change.
May apply project management methodology on small/mid-sized efforts independent of an assigned PM.
Oversee the performance and reliability of practice applications, troubleshooting issues and driving enhancements to maximize impact.
Contribute to the broader strategy for technology integration, providing insights and recommendations based on technical expertise and market awareness.
Develop and/or lead change management efforts across all phases of projects and initiatives to drive the Firm's culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in application architecture, management of packaged solutions, or similar roles.
Proven experience leading technical teams and managing engineers, with strong leadership and mentoring skills, and highly organized.
Deep architectural knowledge with hands-on experience in the deployment and optimization of practice-specific technologies.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, including attorneys.
Proven change management skills.

Compensation:
The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. This range may differ based on your experience and skill set, geographic location, and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary.
