Essential Job Functions

The Litigation Paralegal II support case teams in all phases of the litigation practice, from pre-complaint to trial and appeal. The Litigation Paralegal II will be responsible for managing all details throughout every phase of trial from investigations, pleadings, discovery, and attendance. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment with strong attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

I. Manages document production processes to assist with collection and logistics

II. Substantive Research relating to court venues and rules

III. Prepare, coordinate and file routine motions. Ability to accurately utilize Westlaw and Lexis.

IV. Prepare for and attend trial including set up and post-trial work.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education, Work Experience, Skills

The ideal candidate will possess 5-6 years of experience focusing on complex litigation cases, including preparing for and attending trial in a large law firm environment. Additional qualifications include excellent analytical and organizational abilities, solid communication skills, creativity, initiative, and ability to work in a team environment. Bachelor's degree preferred. Flexibility to accommodate for travel and overtime is required.

Technologies/Software

Pacer; E-filing (CM/ECF), Westlaw, Microsoft Office applications and iManage. Litigation support systems including Relativity; Knowledge of Federal Court Rules.
