You Are:

UST is looking for a qualified Senior Data Analyst to ensure quality delivery of end to end business solutions and to work with one of the leading healthcare providers in US. The ideal candidate must possess excellent background on extracting, transforming and loading data into the warehouse. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability and collaborate effectively with domain and technical experts in the team.

The opportunity:

BRD assessment / evaluation / feedback (if applicable)

High level solution / design (big picture, design for future)

Performing Analysis

Completing all required SA deliverables for the project

Follow SA process and checklists

Support throughout the entire SDLC process (DEV, PV, UAT) until validation completed in production

Review all project deliverables from other areas (DEV, PV, UAT) and provide feedback

Data profiling

Validations in PLT / PROD

Attending all the project meetings

SME knowledge on project

Planning and estimating for future releases while supporting past releases and delivering on work for current release

Roadmap involvement

Assessments of project scope and timelines

Involved in the intake of the requirements to ensure that the requirements are feasible given the company’s technology stack

Translate requirements into technical documents which describe what the development team is expected to build

Troubleshoot issues when they arise and propose solutions

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What you need:

Minimum of 8-10 years of hands-on experience with the following:

Working in the following areas:

o Data Warehousing and ETL

o Data Marts

o Data Profiling

o Data Modeling

o Data Quality Analysis

Modeling Dimensional Databases and Data Marts (includes physical and logical models)

Writing complex SQL and stored procedures (DB2 preferred); translating specifications and rules into SQL

Working with data modeling tools (Erwin preferred)

Interpreting and writing source to target mappings (ETL transformation rules)

Working with string and data manipulation functions and macros with Microsoft Excel

Metadata management and data governance

Creating and maintaining data dictionaries

Maintaining and interpreting data lineages

Ability to speak to the various aspect of the SDLC

Ability to draw out high-level and detailed designs and represent them as flow diagrams (preferably using Visio)

Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications

Ability to design end-to-end data warehousing / reporting solutions using components like databases, ETL tools and reporting frameworks

Ability to provide time estimations for SA activities for a project based on the design

Ability to work closely with Development, PV and UAT teams to provide them the required support

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)

Proficiency in English language (as a medium of communication)

Experience with working on DB2 and Postgres Databases

Experience working with PHI & PII and sensitive data

Knowledge about ETL tools (preferably Ab Initio)

Knowledge about business intelligence / analytics / tool experience – Cognos/Tableau

Knowledge about medical and Rx claims processing, healthcare enrollments and providers

Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar technologies

Must: Bachelor’s Degree

Compensation Range:

$95,000-$143,750

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
