You Are:

UST is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Analyst to join our team of analysts. You will be responsible for leading data analysis, data architecture, and design initiatives, supporting development and product verification teams within a healthcare payer clinical data ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, independent, proactive leader, passionate about data and healthcare, with exceptional communication skills to engage with stakeholders and mentor junior resources.

The opportunity:

Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative team environment to achieve project goals.

Data Management: Oversee data architecture, design, modeling, implementation, and maintenance of solutions in the clinical data ecosystem.

Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.

Performance Optimization: Ensure optimal performance, data integrity, and alignment with industry standards.

Modelling: Lead the design and development of dimensional data models, implementing best practices in data modelling to support business intelligence and reporting.

ETL Processes: Interpret and write source-to-target mappings (ETL transformation rules) for ETL development.

Governance: Manage metadata and data governance processes.

Communication: Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What you need:

Bachelor's degree is required for this position.

Expertise in dimensional modelling and SQL.

Extensive experience in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.

Experience with DB2, ETL tools (Ab Initio), and reporting tools (Cognos, Tableau).

Proficiency in data architecture and design, including Erwin.

Knowledge of the healthcare payer industry (claims, enrollment, and clinical decision support systems).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to lead and mentor a technical team.

Strong collaboration and team-building abilities.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in systems analysis, with a focus on data warehousing in the healthcare payer sector.

Compensation Range:

$95,000-$143,750

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.
