We are seeking a

Network Engineer Consultant

to join our team. The Network Engineer will be responsible for performing needs analysis and providing engineering, configuration, and troubleshooting expertise in routing, switching, and firewall functionality on both corporate and customer networks. This role involves defining and implementing solutions, as well as recommending appropriate tools, including equipment, software, documentation, and training.Responsibilities:

Engineer, troubleshoot, and configure enterprise switches, routers, and firewalls across global locations.Manage circuits and other network-related activities.Develop and maintain network and security toolsets.Oversee the ongoing management of global network and security monitoring systems, including configuration, node updates, and documentation.Define and implement solutions, recommending appropriate tools to users, including equipment, software, documentation, and training.Consult with vendors, teammates, and other technical teams to develop a technical landscape aligned with industry trends.Lead corporate network audit activities to ensure compliance.Provide informal leadership to network teammates.Participate in a regularly scheduled on-call rotation to support priority customer calls related to outages.Maintain regular and reliable attendance.Exhibit professional working behavior, including building and maintaining constructive working relationships, proactive and concise communication, acting as a resource to colleagues, and engaging in collaborative thinking and problem-solving.Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Professional Experience:4+ years of experience in a corporate environment deploying, developing, and supporting enterprise-class networks.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Expertise in Cisco router troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration.Expertise in Cisco Route/Switch/Firewall troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration (NX OS, IOS, ASA).Expertise in the development and management of SNMP, SNMP Traps, and Syslog.Configuration of enterprise-level network monitoring toolsets (SolarWinds, InfoBlox, or equivalent).Management of the installation and troubleshooting of corporate WAN circuits for enterprise and customer use.Enterprise-class network documentation and presentation of engineering solutions.Enterprise wireless troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration.Network auditing for compliance.Research and development experience.Ability to work independently with minimal direction.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to lead team members and provide training as needed.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English in a business environment.
