To learn more: www.sony.com/en.POSITION SUMMARYSony Corporation of America (SCA) is seeking a Sr. Cyber Security Architect to join the Corporate Information Security Division located in Reston, VA. This position will be a part of the team responsible for establishing a unified enterprise security architecture, key security controls and models, while being subject matter experts for various security areas to ensure our security practices and controls constantly improve. The Sr. Cyber Security Architect will have a good balance of business and technical knowledge and will be comfortable across many disciplines of Information Technology and demonstrate a strong passion for Information Security.Position ResponsibilitiesDrive maturity of Sony’s security baseline.Define, document, and promote security architecture, and Sony Cyber Security standards with Sony Companies.Support threat modeling of global enterprise architecture protections and detections related to Network and email Security.Evaluate Network and Email Security solutions in market and lead testing and selection processes.Evaluate, map and maintain Network and email security controls/tool coverage against Mitre Attack Framework and cyber threats to identify posture improvements.Develop, maintain and improve security architectures for common IT use cases.Enhance protection and response capabilities against cyber threats.Provide security advisory and evaluation of IT and Business projects to aid in identification, understanding and risk-based decision making.Evaluate network and email security stack configurations for effectiveness to address evolving security threats and attacks.Document network and email security tool configuration standards.Design, prove out, and document network and email security solutions where needed.Apply security knowledge to network and email threat scenarios to identify risks to address coverage gaps and inform detection content.Support research of existing and emerging IT trends and technologies.RequirementsA minimum of 5 years’ experience in one or more of the following areas: Network Security or IT Network Engineering.Experience with Mitre Attack Framework, Threat Modeling and technical security risk assessment preferred.Network and email Security expertise preferred.Technical certifications or other demonstrations of passion in security and technology (e.g., CISSP, Security+, Network+, ITIL, product specific networking Certifications, open-source projects, or equivalent) preferred.Experience in communicating complex security concepts, both verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences.Ability to build working relationships across diverse enterprise structure.Strong work ethic and commitment to accomplish assigned tasks with urgency.Advanced Written, Verbal, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Task Prioritization skills.Strong aptitude for continuous self-learning.Advanced analytical skills.Ability to mentor and engage employees.Ability to effectively engage with various Global Sony Affiliates.All candidates must be authorized to work in the US.In addition to competitive pay and benefits, we offer an environment and culture that promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
