Software Engineer – Web Technology

FlexGen applies modern technologies and product development principles to deliver software that gets the job done, is easy to learn and a joy to use.As a Software Engineer with a web technology background, you will work closely with your product team to implement key features and solve complex problems. You'll contribute to the design and development of our web applications, collaborating with both senior and junior engineers to deliver high-quality software. Your role will be crucial in bridging the gap between conceptual designs and practical implementation.Major Job Responsibilities:Develop and maintain front ends for our web-based applicationsCollaborate with the product team to translate requirements into technical specificationsWrite clean, efficient, and well-documented codeParticipate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledgeTroubleshoot and debug issues in both development and production environmentsWrite thorough tests for software to ensure reliabilityThe technologies required for this role include:

Javascript, typescript and Node.jsFront end and backend frameworks such as React, Express, Nest and NextRESTful API design and implementationDatabase technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)Version control systems (e.g., Git)Linux environments and Docker

Position Requirements:3-5 years of work experience in software development rolesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, related Engineering field, or equivalent practical experienceDemonstrable experience building and maintaining web applicationsFamiliarity with agile development methodologiesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExperience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)Interest in or experience with the clean energy sector
