Contaminated Sites Coordinator

OBJECTIVE:

Coordinate with Bristol Bay communities and other entities to assess, clean up, and redevelop contaminated sites, referred to as “Brownfield”.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Job knowledge/documentation required:

Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or similar field preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted at BBNA discretion. Strong writing skills and proficiency with word processing, database software programs, virtual meeting software, and cloud storage platforms are required. Familiarity with the Bristol Bay region and ability to communicate with local governments in the region and with state and federal agencies is especially important. Ability to work independently and accomplish job results within deadlines with minimal supervision. Must be insurable with a current AK Drivers License.

Travel Requirements:

Requires statewide and in-region travel on aircraft, small aircraft, all-terrain vehicles, snow machines, and marine vessels. Physical demands: Nature of position requires ability to climb in and out of small aircraft, ATVs, and boats; work extended periods of time at meetings, in field locations with exposure to outdoor weather and uneven terrain; lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

WAGE:

$42,666-$58,656 ($21.88-$30.08 Hourly)
