SATCOM Software Test Engineer

TMC, a LinQuest company, is seeking a SATCOM Software Test Engineer to join the team in Colorado Springs, CO. An active Secret clearance is required.The SATCOM Software Test Engineer will leverage advanced software engineering and test methods/capabilities to automate system and subsystem capabilities for the SATCOM system solutions. Requires application of a diversified knowledge of software engineering/technical principles and analytical techniques for the purpose of developing new or improved solutions.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the software architect, systems engineers, and front-end lead to provide back-end design expertise.Mentor and lead a team of developers and test engineers.Conduct code reviews and merges of other back-end developers.Prepare and review test plans containing information such as type of test to be conducted, facilities required, proposed schedule, and estimated cost of the project.Provide testing specifications to program-specific architecture documentation for the BH system. Provide recommendations on automated testing approaches for the BH systems.Provide test results to program configuration and architecture changes.Procure test equipment and develop test plans to test candidate software/hardware changes and technology concepts to determine the feasibility of integration.Contribute to creating test plans, test reports, product assessments, and testing procedures to provide accurate, objective, and impartial verification of system tests in support of developmental and operational T&E.Write tailored Test Plans and support the development of the Master Test Strategy. Support the execution of BH system readiness reviews.Provide Government leads with accurate, objective, and impartial verification of the compliance status of systems, subsystems, and applications.Provide support to ensure effective capacity planning and reporting to enable the prioritization of testing tasks and focus testing resources on critical priorities.Contribute to Test Reports per project to document lessons learned after testing and all other applicable information for the SPO and mission partners/users.Implement Test tools and DevOps for testing analysis. Provide SME inputs to training materials and self-help FAQs.Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field.4+ years of experience in test engineering or quality assurance roles.4+ years of experience in software development/engineering disciplines, test procedures and processes, and creating test plans and reports.Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages.Strong understanding of software development methodologies and testing principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience with preparing and reviewing test plans containing information such as type of test to be conducted, facilities required, proposed schedule, and estimated cost of the project.Experience with coordinating test requirements with fellow engineers or subject matter specialists, and other organizations for required tests or facilities.Experience with analyzing and evaluating technical data including instrumentation readings, calculations, deficiency reports, etc., to ensure valid results or obtain weaknesses or failures encountered and probable causes, suggested modification and design changes.Knowledge of DoD, acquisition, and T&E policies and regulations.Knowledge of instrumentation systems, data collection and reduction techniques, commercial and military standards, and use of management information systems necessary to facilitate testing and evaluation.Proven ability in applying data analysis techniques.Knowledge of the architecture, protocols, security, network management, and physics underlying these systems.Exemplifies our core values.DoD IAT Level II and Agile certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire.An active Secret clearance is required.Preferred Skills and Experience:Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical field.Certifications: SAFe DevOps certificate; Security+ (or equivalent), or higher.Knowledge of Software Defined Radios and/or FPGA architecture development.Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.Experience in engineering and/or acquisition of Intelligence Community (IC) and/or DOD spacecraft systems.Knowledge of IC and/or DOD acquisition roles, processes, and/or program management.Experience with agile/scrum design processes.Experience building data visualization-focused web applications.Experience with Model Based System Engineering or Digital Engineering.Compensation:
