Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Principal Engineer DevOp – WAN Engineer SME (24-182) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in the Colorado Springs, CO, area.
Position Overview:
About C2BMC: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. The candidate will be responsible for helping junior engineers with tasks if needed. The candidate plans, deploys, integrates, and tests upgrades to the C2BMC network and operational sites. The candidate is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing all WANs for their project.
Essential Functions:
Experience analyzing packet flows using Wireshark or equivalent.
Basic Qualifications:
An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
9 years with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 13 years experience in lieu of a degree.
Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
Must have Network Development experience developing, testing, and deploying new and upgraded capabilities.
Must have experience and knowledge of IPSEC, Multicast PIM DM, MPLS, QOS, GRE tunnels, multiarea OSPF, and BGP traffic engineering.
Must have experience with the Juniper SRX firewall.
Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers and independently on large field projects.
Must have proven troubleshooting expertise.
Must have experience planning and supporting the deployment of network infrastructure.
Must be able to travel to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.
Prior C2BMC experience is desired.

$121,000 - $181,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
