Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr Staff Engineer Systems Architect – Lead Engineering Architect (TO60) (24-205) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will be on-site in Colorado Springs, CO and relocation is not available.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats in all phases of flight.
The C2BMC-Global Lead Architect oversees all software and system architectural decisions and design quality. The position is expected to focus on execution, support proposal development, shape business efforts, and contribute to the technology roadmap for the C2BMC enterprise.
Essential Functions:
Familiarity or experience with the Missile Defense Agency.
Familiarity or experience with the Command Control Battle Management and Communications program.
Familiarity or experience with the Space Domain, Space Force, US Space Command, or the National Space Defense Center.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership in large forums and moderate small forum deep technical sessions.
Familiarity with cyber, platform, and network architecture technologies, dependencies, and design drivers.
Travel to and from Schriever Space Force Base is expected an average of 2 days per week.
Basic Qualifications:
An active TS/SCI clearance is required to start. TS clearance with an investigation or CV date within 5 years is needed.
14 years with a Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field; 18 years experience in lieu of a degree or 12 years with a Master’s degree in a related field.
Must have demonstrated experience designing large command and control and/or weapon systems.
Must possess demonstrated experience driving large multi-site software development efforts.
Must possess experience executing under Federal Acquisition Regulations.
Demonstrated experience conducting or leading Analysis of Alternatives, Trade Studies, and/or Design Evaluations.
Demonstrated experience managing mathematically complex algorithm development efforts.
