Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Engineer DevOps – TO60 Baseline Lead (24-154) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located out of the Colorado Springs, CO area.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives.

The selected candidate will join a high-performing team as a Solution-level baseline lead supporting development for the MDA C2BMC-Global line of business. The selected candidate will be assigned to the C2BMC-G Portfolio, where they will immediately be responsible for the C2BMC-Global Solution Level Systems Release management.

Essential Functions:

Primary facilitator of Global solution-level special projects, including capability mapping, roadmap creation, Quarterly detail planning, workstream execution synchronization, and Release Reviews.

Ensure workstream alignment is clearly defined at the Epic and Capability for a full release cycle.

Responsible for ensuring workstreams align with the purposes and desired business and mission outcomes of the Global Solution Level.

Managing and assisting with planning and tracking the execution of Features, including dependency and risk management, escalation and tracking of impediments, resource management prioritization, and alignment of work for each release cycle.

Establishing and tracking key release level metrics and regularly communicating these metrics to program/technical leadership and relevant stakeholders.

Encourage collaboration between Core/Capability teams and the Release Manager. Work with Solution Staff and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment. Improve the execution workflow through workstreams by developing, implementing, improving, and assessing the practices associated with DevSecOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline.

Facilitate Release Demos that show Acceptance Criteria have been met and support selling off Features to Stakeholders.

Assess the Agility level of the workstreams and capabilities by supporting and leading improvement, including refresher training and skills path guidance aligned with Lockheed Martin training opportunities.

Detailed domain knowledge and experience in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) and experience with the space domain and Global/TO60.

Demonstrated ability to provide clear guidance, direction, and prioritization for multi-company, multi-discipline, and geographically separated teams.

Experience in all areas of baseline management, including requirements understanding, in-depth understanding of government capability concepts, and summary-level build documentation that depicts specific components of various software builds.

Proven ability to communicate well with subordinates, peers, and other stakeholders within Global ART and TO60 staff and the overall C2BMC Program (e.g., ARTs, RMAs, Solution Leadership).

Strong interpersonal skills and proven working relationships within the C2BMC program.

Demonstrated experience in motivating, inspiring, and teaching others to accomplish program objectives.

Experience with agile processes and experience with C2BMC program processes and tools (e.g., JIRA, Agility, Confluence).

Basic Qualifications:

An active TS/SCI clearance is required to start.

14 Years with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 12 years with a Masters and 18 years experience in lieu of a degree.

Strong experience with C2BMC and/or Missile Defense Agency.

History of successful project management, decomposition of software build components, high-level requirement concepts, and ability to remain within the capability roadmap for TO60.

Salary Range:

$150,000 - $225,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
