Application Analyst I – Revenue Cycle and Financial Solutions .Application Analyst I – Revenue Cycle and Financial Solutions
supports the implementation of UHS applications. Monitors the resolution of maintenance or enhancement issues assigned by the UHS Customer Support Center and Team Management. Provides technical support to UHS entities as needed. Meets deadlines and ensures continued progress toward project and assignment completion. Interfaces with the user community regarding project plans, application design and support. Provides guidance to less experienced staff. Shares experience and expertise with other members of the team.Key Responsibilities:System Implementation
Activities:Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify system specifications.Manages system implementation project plans and task lists and assists in organizing relevant meetings and needs.Designs solutions for applications and prepares the appropriate documentation.Supervises development of test data, system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle.Performs Q/A on application functionality.Researches and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center Tickets.Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards.Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management.Oversees the training of users in operating procedures for application.Assists in providing estimates for new, or changes to, existing project requests.Documents and manages new systems or enhancements to existing systems.System Maintenance/Support
Activities:Researches and resolves Customer Support Center Tickets including major application upgrades.Works with user community to design and create specifications for new customizations and processes.Designs, develops and tests processes adhering to IS guidelines.Adheres to UHS Service Level and Change Management Policies.Provides on-call support as scheduled.Establishes and maintains regular communications with user community.Engages other teams as appropriate or necessary to assist in maintaining solutions.Administration and Oversight
Activities:Effectively trains analysts in performance of their duties as required.Provides technical support and guidance to other team members as required.Maintains Service Excellence principles.Prepares and promptly submits all routine and special reports.Interviews applicants for vacant positions as needed using appropriate interview techniques.Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems.Reviews and reports progress on an ongoing basis.Provides technical advice to staff as required.Performs other tasks as required by management.
Qualifications
Position Requirements:One or more years of progressively more responsible Information Systems experience, including project management and application design, deployment, testing, and support.An
Associate’s Degree is required. A
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or Business is preferred.Working knowledge of system application implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices as well as project management.Comprehensive working knowledge of computer systems analysis and support, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications; developing documentation of computer systems or programs based on and related to user design specifications.Working knowledge of IS standards and quality methods and metrics.Working knowledge of project management methods.General familiarity of user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support the applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience should include problem solving, creating system and program level documentation, and knowledge of basic business management concepts.Position also requires a working knowledge of all aspects of the project development life cycle and the ability to multi-task while effectively managing time and meeting deadlines.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of revenue cycle, business office, accounts receivable, InterSystems Caché and SQL databases is a plus.Working knowledge and experience developing in the Artiva application including custom scripting, UI updates, and data integration.Travel Requirements:
