Primary duties will include the development of design specifications and drawings for integrated low voltage systems. Major areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:Meeting with clients to determine detail communications project requirementsDeveloping communications design narratives, specifications, drawings and cost estimates for projectsCoordinating electronic security design work with other disciplines (Architectural, Electrical Mechanical, etc.)Formally presenting electronic security design ideas and submissions to clientsPerforming internal quality assurance/quality control for peer projectsPerforming contractor bid submittal review for completenessProviding construction administration services during construction phases of projectsPreferred QualificationsBroad industry knowledge and experience with Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Systems, UFC Standards, CEPTED preferredPSP certification is preferredBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is preferredAutoCAD, Microstation, VISIO, Bluebeam experience is a plusMilitary design experience is a plusLocal candidates are preferredRCDDRequired QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in low voltage system designMust be able to travel as needed (less than 20% of time)Must be self-starting, self-directing, and task orientedDemonstrated ability to manage a number of concurrent projects and meet deadlinesMust possess strong written, verbal and communications skillsStrong computer skills required (MS office suite, working across multiple office networks, automated business systems)Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
