Position Summary

Works within the Infrastructure Services team and ensures that all customer incidents are properly logged into the incident reporting system, resolved within service level agreements, and meets the customer’s expectations for that service. This position is responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing our Microsoft Office 365, Intune, Exchange, Teams, and Azure environments. This will also include the Engineering and Operations of every aspect of the physical and virtual environment including server operating systems, virtual desktops, server applications and providing Engineer level design, leadership, implementation ability and provide day-to-day operations support to for all aspects of the infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Administer and monitor Microsoft Office 365, Intune, Exchange, Teams, and Azure services and resources.

Ensure compliance with security policies, IT (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY) policies, standards, and best practices.

Track and control of physical IT assets in the infrastructure.

Assist project and IT Infrastructure teams with technical design details and issues, in the Initiation and Planning phases of various projects.

Participate on projects focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff.

Provide AH (Atlanta Housing) single point of contact for requesting a change - submits requests for changes (RFCs).

Maintain up-to-date historical records of configuration items, knowledge, and information under AH management.

Maintain physical hardware for proper operation and coordinate installations, moves and repairs with 3rd party vendors where necessary.

Implement IT changes, upgrades, releases, or installations.

Analyze capacity and performance issues to improve capacity and performance at acceptable cost levels.

Administer and maintain infrastructure resources such as servers, hosts, and networking devices.

Perform all operational processes and procedures, ensuring that all services and infrastructure meet their operational targets.

Engineer, plan, implement and maintain the enterprise virtualization and cloud environment.

Lead in the Engineering, planning, design and implementation of new virtualization technology solutions and upgrades.

Establish system specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, level of access needed, information and security requirements.

Establish systems by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing server hardware, software, LAN, and WAN networks.

Maintain system performance by collaboratively working with the appropriate technical owners.

Secure systems by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation.

Upgrade system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.

Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

Perform troubleshooting at all levels of complexity to resolve problems related to server hardware, operating systems, and related components.

Maintain updated documentation of key applications to facilitate support and improvement of the platform.

Provide technical leadership to appropriate personnel on complex system administration activities.

Identify potential solutions to resolve and prevent future service interruptions.

Create and/or oversee the creation or modification of Standard Operation Procedures.

Work with and lead other Administrators in the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field and 5 years’ experience in information technology.

Or minimum of 7 -8 years’ experience in the Information Technology field in lieu of degree.

Cisco networking experience is a big plus.

VMware ESXi, VCenter, View Virtual Desktops (VDI), Desktop Environment Management (DEM), and App Stack management.

Microsoft and/or VMWare Certification preferred.

Minimum of 10 years working in an IT Enterprise level environment with progressively responsible roles.

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Windows Active Directory Administration experience.

Requires senior level experience and understanding of the latest Windows Server OS, various Cisco network components, cabling, and various client operating systems.

Working Conditions:

Works in an office environment. May require frequent bending, stooping, reaching and prolonged sitting and/or standing. May require regular lifting usually not exceeding 15 lbs.
