Works within the Infrastructure Services team and ensures that all customer incidents are properly logged into the incident reporting system, resolved within service level agreements, and meets the customer’s expectations for that service. This position is responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing our Microsoft Office 365, Intune, Exchange, Teams, and Azure environments. This will also include the Engineering and Operations of every aspect of the physical and virtual environment including server operating systems, virtual desktops, server applications and providing Engineer level design, leadership, implementation ability and provide day-to-day operations support for all aspects of the infrastructure.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Administer and monitor Microsoft Office 365, Intune, Exchange, Teams, and Azure services and resources.Ensure compliance with security policies, IT (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY) policies, standards, and best practices.Track and control of physical IT assets in the infrastructure.This individual will assist project and IT Infrastructure teams with technical design details and issues, in the Initiation and Planning phases of various projects. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy ensuring overall Enterprise-wide design consistency, research & development within the project life cycle, technical analysis and design, and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.Participation on projects is focused on smoothing the transition of projects from development staff to production staff by performing operations activities within the project life cycle and ongoing maintenance, support of the solution and documentation.Provide AH (Atlanta Housing) single point of contact for requesting a change - submits requests for changes (RFCs) and assembles submission packages and represents business unit or area interests regarding the change being requested. This role starts with the RFC submission to Change management and ends once the Change has been successfully implemented or permanently rejected.Maintain up-to-date historical records of configuration items, knowledge, and information under AH management.Maintain physical hardware for proper operation and coordinate installations, moves and repairs with 3rd party vendors where necessary.Implements IT changes, upgrades, releases, or installations.Analyze capacity and performance issues to determine ways to improve capacity and performance at acceptable cost levels.Administers and maintains infrastructure resources such as servers, hosts, and networking devices to ensure proper operation and availability onsite or in the cloud.Perform all operational processes and procedures, ensuring that all services and infrastructure meet their operational targets.Engineer, plan, implement and maintain the enterprise virtualization and cloud environment including troubleshooting, performance planning, capacity planning and continuity planning while engineering any solutions necessary to improve the design or fix issues.Lead in the Engineering, planning, design and implementation of new virtualization technology solutions and upgrades.Establishes system specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, level of access needed, information and security requirements and the design of the virtual infrastructure environment.Establishes systems by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing server hardware, software, LAN, and WAN networks, and operating and system management systems, defining system and operational policies and procedures around the virtual and cloud environments.Maintains system performance by collaboratively working with the appropriate technical owners, performing system monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks, and operating system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor support.Secures systems by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; engineering a backup strategy that is virtual aware, schedule and monitor back-ups that correspond to the company retention policy and maintain documentation.Upgrades system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software or SAS solutions.Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities, and presenting those to the team.Perform troubleshooting at all levels of complexity to resolve problems related to server hardware, operating systems, and related components.Maintain updated documentation of key applications to facilitate support and improvement of the platform, including Disaster Recovery documentation.Provides technical leadership to appropriate personnel on complex system administration activities, engineering initiatives and technical design.Identify potential solutions to resolve and prevent future service interruptions.Create and/or oversee the creation or modification of Standard Operation Procedures, Job Aides and follow change management protocols, as necessary.Work with and lead other Administrators when it comes to installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems that are a part of the network environment ensuring.Other duties as assigned.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field and 5 years’ experience in information technology.Or minimum of 7 -8 years’ experience in the Information Technology field in lieu of degree.Cisco networking experience is a big plus.VMware ESXi, VCenter, View Virtual Desktops (VDI), Desktop Environment Management (DEM), and App Stack management.Microsoft and/or VMWare Certification preferred.Minimum of 10 years working in an IT Enterprise level environment with progressively responsible roles.Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Windows Active Directory Administration experience.Requires senior level experience and understanding of the latest Windows Server OS, various Cisco network components, cabling, and various client operating systems.Knowledge & Skill Requirements:Capacity to cope with pressure, stress, and deadlines.Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and mentoring skills.Ability to lead and work as part of a team.Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Experience in various scripting languages for administration and automation purposes.Engineering, implementing, and supporting solutions around Microsoft Server, domain controllers, AD, DHCP, DNS, MS Exchange Server, MS SQL Server, MS Project Server, SharePoint Server, and fiber channel type of technologies in a virtual environment.Working Conditions:Works in an office environment. May require frequent bending, stooping, reaching and prolonged sitting and/or standing. May require regular lifting usually not exceeding 15 lbs.
