Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a
Systems Security Engineering Manager 2 . This position will be located in
Roy, UT
and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. The selected candidate will be responsible for a Systems Security Engineering (SSE) discipline Section within the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Specialty Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to an SDS Specialty Systems Engineering Department Manager.
As a Section Manager you will be expected to spend approximately 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom (FHR) responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on a technical assignment on an SDS project or IPT.
What You'll Get To Do:
Primary FHR responsibilities include:
Provide career mentorship to SSE team members
Manage personnel performance ratings for SSE team members
Mentor SSE team members on career pathway development and goal setting
Conduct training for SSE team member process familiarization
Build staffing plans for SSE team member role placement
Primary Technical Responsibilities include:
Communicate complex technical issues and solutions to SSE team members and management
Manage SSE team member task allocation, provide technical oversight, direction
Allocate resources to meet time, cost, and schedule
Apply Systems Engineering principles for system functional allocation, composability, margin analysis, and critical thinking to execution of tasks and monitoring of individual contributor assignments within SSE.
Ability to rapidly reprioritize tasks due to leadership demand signals
Collaborate and provide inputs to both Functional Homeroom (FHR) and Sentinel Program leadership for status of task execution and milestone completion
Communicate with the FHR to establish and optimize standardized SSE processes
Conduct Earned Value Management for all SSE cost accounts in conjunction with Cost Account Management (CAM)
Travel: 10-20%
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field and at least 6 years of related systems engineering experience or a Master's degree and 4 years of related systems engineering experience
At least 1 year experience leading and/or driving performance against schedule
1 year experience in budgeting or managing Cost Accounts
1 year experience performing Earned Value Management (EVM)
Active Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years and ability to obtain SAP access
Ability to obtain TS clearance with SCI
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 10 years of related systems engineering experience or a Masters Degree and 8 years of related systems engineering experience
Current or obtain DoD 8140 IAT Level III certification (e.g. CASP+CE, CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent) within 1 year of starting role
Understanding of program risk management (identification and development of risks) and driving risk mitigations to closure
Experience briefing high level leadership on complex issues
Experience with microelectronics, hardware assurance, Trusted Secure Networks, and criticality analysis
Experience conducting threat analysis and protection initiatives
OpSec and Intelligence community background
Application of Supply Chain Risk Management strategies and measuring effectiveness of countermeasures
Experience in engaging with the intelligence community, utilizing databases, and performing research and analysis
Active Top-Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years and ability to obtain SAP access
Current DoD 8140/8570 IAM or IAT Level III certification with ability to obtain IASAE Level III (CISSP-ISSAP / CISSP-ISSEP) certification within 6 months of offer acceptance
Salary Range:
$127,700 - $191,500
