We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Manager to join our International Replenishment team in Supply chain. The ideal candidate will have experience as a tech lead and strong development background in Micro Service Architectures using backend technologies like Java, Spring Boot, Kafka technologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality scalable software applications. You will collaborate with our product team, in-house developers, and architects to design, develop, and enhance a reliable and easy-to-maintain backend infrastructure.As a Senior Manager Software Engineering you will have a successful record of leading large scale, complex, cross-functional software engineering projects. As part of Global Supply chain Team, you will be responsible for the hands-on leading and directing of end-to-end project initiatives and teams in tactical and strategic capacities. You will join a very high-performing team seeking those challenging us to become even better. You will have the opportunity to contribute significant impact by solving problems at a scale available to only a few organizations in the world.About Team:Focusing on customer, associate and business needs, this team works with Walmart International, which includes more than 5,200 retail units, operating in 23 countries such as Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Mexico and South Africa to name a few.
What you'll do:Guide and mentor a team of engineers, conducting code reviews and leading design discussions to ensure engineering best practices.Act as a technical authority, providing direction and expertise to the team.Drive the adoption of coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices.What you'll bring:Bachelor's degree in CS or related field and 10+ years industry experience, or Master’s degree in CS or related field and 8+ years industry experience.2+ years of experience in people management.Experience leading back-end, and data engineers, quality assurance, dev-ops, and other technical resources.Providing supervision and development opportunities for associates by training, mentoring, and building a team-based work environment.Strong track record of delivering large, cross functional projects.6+ years of experience in building and managing large scale distributed, scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems.6+ years of hands-on experience in Java or another object-oriented language, Spring, No SQL, Kafka.Experience in multi-cloud production environment deployment and maintenance.Exposure to data science and machine learning techniques.Strong communication and leadership skills.Exceptional analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills.Strong organization and time management skills.About Walmart Global Tech:Imagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
