On Board Test Equipment Mechanical Design and Integration Manager 2 . This position is located in
Roy, UT
and supports the Sentinel program.
What You'll Get To Do:
Facilitate and execute the performance management cycle for your direct reports, including setting goals, mid and end-of-year reviews, as well as performance evaluations and compensation discussions.
Promote the professional development of the Homeroom workforce and foster a collaborative culture that sustains employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Ensure accurate time charging and timecard approvals.
Conflict resolution, managing performance issues and improvement plans.
Career growth mentoring for team of direct reports.
Aligning direct reports to technical roles based on program needs.
Help identify stretch assignments and opportunities.
Set a vision for and lead a team of engineers to execute the OBTE Mechanical Design Statement of work.
Perform financial and performance analyses to develop and implement long-term staffing plans and process improvements.
Provide mentorship and growth opportunities to the OBTE Mechanical Design team.
Drive on-time delivery of OBTE Mechanical Design work products to support the design timelines of the Air Vehicle Element.
Support wire harness routing for OBTE electrical harnessing.
Utilize earned value management and other financial tools to plan, execute, and report status.
Support the integrated planning of complex interdependent projects to support Sentinel program milestones.
Ensure schedules and program plans are credible and substantiated by quantitative data.
Support a comprehensive risk and opportunity management program for the Infrastructure IPT.
Negotiate competing priorities and interests across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with distinct customer communities, subcontractors, and industry partners.
Provide regular briefings, reports, and other communications to executive leadership.
Ensure adherence to the Sentinel technical baseline and associated processes for the OBTE Mechanical Design team.
Balance stringent quality standards for technical artifacts with the rapid pace of procurement, fabrication, and construction of test assets and early prototypes.
Make informed decisions between conflicting technical approaches based upon program and IPT-level cost, schedule, and technical impacts and risk.
Travel 10% of the time.
Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 6 years of experience.
1 year experience in leading projects and/or cross-functional engineering teams.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP).
Experience in NX Modeling.
Experience in writing and presenting technical content.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Able to read/generate, interpret and use layout and production drawings and CAD models.
Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills.
Hands-on experience with machine operations, which support design for manufacturing.
Electrical harness routing experience.
Mechanical test development and support experience.
Salary Range:
$119,300 - $178,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
