Engineer - Metals/Implant Equipment (CVD/PVD) Technology Development . In this role, you will have an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the development of best-in-class technologies. You will collaborate with process engineering to maintain and define hardware modifications, ensuring continuous improvement of new and existing processes. Your expertise will play a key role in supporting R&D Thin Films PVD/Metal Development efforts and driving chamber analysis through innovative instrumental techniques.Our role involves coordinating the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Defines and writes preventative maintenance schedules.Responsibilities:

2+ years' experience working on vacuum-based deposition
equipment
in R&D or High-Volume ManufacturingHands-on experience with ULVAC ENTRON, AMAT ENDURA, or CANON PVD Platforms, including tool installation/de-facilitation and maintenance (2+ years preferred)In-depth knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE)Ability to drive innovative ideas from research to implementation phaseUnderstanding of CVD/PVD plasma processing principles and plasma sources used in industrial Semiconductor plasma reactorsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including interpreting analytical resultsSolid semiconductor
equipment
knowledge, including electronics, pneumatics, plumbing, thermal control, vacuum, mechanical, and RF/DCAbility to provide hardware technical support, including addressing the Source of Variation (SOV) issues in process developmentTactical ownership of First-To-Micron Thin Film tool setsManage and oversee the characterization program for new tools, addressing any hardware and procedural gaps that may arise.Drive and manage vendor execution to meet goals and timelinesAbility to work with Facilities Engineering, trades, Safety, and vendors to support assigned projectsCoordinate installation, maintenance, documentation, and modifications for R&D 300mm Thin Films CVD equipmentMentorship capabilities for other
