Configuration Management Engineer

to join our team located in Carlsbad, NM.The successful candidate will analyze, design, and develop administrative, technical, and engineering work process documents in support of a nuclear operating facility. The candidate will be the back-up of the Master Equipment List (MEL) Administrator, which will require technical oversight and guidance to ensure the MEL of structures, systems, and components is maintained. The candidate will be the back-up capacity as Management Level Determinations (MLD) Administrator for applying adequate and appropriate controls to systems, structures, components, activities, procurements, and work control documents in accordance with procedure. The candidate will train on and assist with completion of and processing of Maintenance Deferral Requests, Periodic Maintenance Identification Forms, and Engineering Services Requests, assuring auditable documentation is maintained. This position requires interaction and coordination with various site organizations, e.g., Work Control, Operations, Maintenance, Regulatory Environmental Services, and Training.Minimum Requirements:Associate's degree with two (2) years of professional experience, orHigh School Diploma or Equivalency with four (4) years of professional experience is required.Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory.Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.Preferred Requirements:Scientific and/or technical documentation skills.Self-motivated, detail oriented with excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multitask competing priorities.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to learn different software tools and systems.Previous WIPP experience is a plus.What we offer:Medical, dental and vision insurance:
