Reports to: General Manager.

Full-Time (40 to 45 hours a week)SalaryAvailability: Scheduled as a regular employee with weekend and night availability preferred.

A day in the life:We’re fast casual but there’s nothing fast about our food. We understand the importance of sourcing, relationships, and the pleasure of enjoying a meal. Our Kitchen Managers help maintain this high standard- we’re looking for someone that takes on our model of Servant Leadership. They’re hands on, working shifts alongside their teams while training and coaching as well as representing Chook to our community and engaging with all our guests (that they quickly turn into regulars).

Chook has three core values, what we call our “Why’s,” and as a restaurant, our Kitchen Managers are key to being sure that our food tells the story of these whys.

Bits & Bobs about your duties:

Provides positive leadership to the entire staff.Provides on-the-job coaching for kitchen staff.Trains and guides staff to follow standards of Chook.Ensures staff is on time and ready to work. Alerts GM asap if staff is late or does not arrive.Proper food handling/kitchen safety.Leads in ordering for HOH.Maintains kitchen systems and organization.Prepares daily prep lists for the kitchen team.Completes end of shift checkouts for HOH staff.Successful key and alarm management.Acts as a representative of the Chook brand while in or out of the restaurant.Communicates clearly with guests, staff, managers, and ownership in a timely manner.
