Sales Manager
sets sales goals based on a thorough knowledge of selling patterns within their assigned territory. The Sales Manager ensures all direct reports receive the training and development necessary for success. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales. Relocation is available. Imperial Dade is the leading independently owned and operated distributor of foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies in North America. As a provider of customized supply chain solutions, we serve customers in many business-to-business market segments including restaurants, grocery stores, healthcare, sports and entertainment, and cruise lines. Founded in 1935 and headquartered in New Jersey, Imperial Dade serves as a mission-critical partner to more than 120,000 customers through our footprint of 130+ branches. **All correspondence will come directly from Imperial Dade and not a personal email address.** Responsibilities: You will: Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and execute sales goals for the area Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas Project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products Identify opportunities for improvement and expense reduction Stay current with new trends, economic indicators, and competitor activity Select, recruit, coach, and counsel team members to ensure strong results Together with the team, build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with key customers Partner with the team to nurture and develop new customer opportunities Manage, develop, coach, counsel, and motivate the sales team Educate the sales team through regular meetings, seminars, and training.
Qualifications: You have: 5+ years of sales experience (Jan/San or Food Service) 3+ years of sales leadership experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Excellent communication and organization skills Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Excellent strategic & creative problem-solving skills Local geographic market knowledge We offer a dynamic environment for our more than 7,500 employees to work, learn, and grow professionally.
