Job Summary:
You will handle a variety of responsibilities & report directly to the Plant Manager. With the help of the corporate HR team, you interpret & administer HR policies. Among many other duties, you ensure labor relations are carried out in a cooperative manner... & handle all hourly labor issues. This involves investigating events & recommending solutions to management.
Job Responsibilities:
Attend daily production meetings.Work with supervisors to ensure the completion of performance evaluations & calculate pay increases.Involved in negotiations & conduct up to 4 climate meetings a year.Handle and track grievances & work with union representatives for proper resolution.Perform recruitment activities (i.e. interviewing, reference checking, benefits enrollment etc.)Payroll responsibilities.Handling disciplinary actions taken as well as terminations.Labor issues associated with the hourly workforce.Resolve or recommend solutions for management approval.Enforce that all activities are carried in accordance with a union contract.Select, develop, show leadership how to empower direct reports.Participate & supports safety & quality projects and activities and responsible care initiatives.When warranted, work w/ co. lawyer on grievances proceeding to arbitration.Ensure personnel files are maintained appropriately. Maintain records.Handle special projects as they come up.Education/Experiences/Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work in the US for any company without sponsorship now or in the future.BA or BS in HR or a related relevant focus.Must have plant experience from a manufacturing environment.A minimum of 5 years of human resource experience.Extensive hands-on experience may be considered in lieu of a college degree.Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.Good computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products.What We Offer:
