Vice President Supply Chain

THIS IS A CONFIDENTIAL SEARCHPosition OverviewThe VP, Supply Chain is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations within the organization. This role involves strategic planning, managing supply chain functions, and ensuring that the supply chain is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's overall business objectives. The VP of Supply Chain will oversee procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships, driving improvements in processes and performance.Essential DutiesDevelop and execute the supply chain strategy in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and implement supply chain initiatives that drive operational excellence and competitive advantage.Establishes annual goals and objectives, in coordination with corporate objectives, and manages performance to ensure attainment.Develop KPIs to improve service in the areas of predictability, profitability, and promptness of delivery.Plan and execute strategic relationships with key suppliers to manage major purchasing contracts and long-term agreements.Support new strategic initiatives by developing both business and implementation plans and providing supporting analysis.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.Develop inventory strategies that balance product (parts/tools) availability with cost-effectiveness.Maintain compliance with all Federal and State regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement.Develop the supply chain budget. Monitor expenditures and analyze financial performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to evaluate and implement advanced supply chain technologies, systems, and tools to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.Supports organizational Lean improvement efforts by creating a work environment that strives to eliminate waste, improving customer satisfaction.Build and lead a high-performing supply chain team.Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members. Fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.Promotes and leads succession planning efforts by providing developmental opportunities that will support the organization's future growth plan.Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.What you need: (Requirements)MinimumBachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Business Administration or a related field.Minimum of 15 years' experience in Supply Chain or Operations Management.Minimum 10 years' experience in a Sr Leadership role to include P&L responsibilities.Familiarity with ERP systems in general and the business processes behind them.Minimum 7 years project management experience.Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, capable of operating effectively with a minimum of direction, and be able to work effectively under pressure with significant interaction within all levels in the organization.Must have working knowledge of FAA certifications & regulations.Must have excellent professional, communication, negotiation, teamwork, organization, project management, interpersonal and presentation skills.PreferredMaster's degree in supply chain management or related field.Six Sigma certification.Physical RequirementsMust be able to travel both domestically and internationally (20-30%).Must be able to sit and work efficiently at video display terminals for extended periods of timeMust and be able to read, write, speak and understand the English languageNormal or corrected hearing and vision requiredNormal duties involve filing as well as typical office duties that involve stretching, reaching, and stooping with lifting typically limited to 10-20 lbs. maximum
