Fidelity Hotel will have 97 guest rooms & suites, each with tailored amenities, custom-designed furniture, and thoughtfully curated art. The property will feature a full-service restaurant, bar, event & meeting spaces, and a private dining room. Fidelity Hotel is an homage to Cleveland's long-standing ideals. Our unwavering dedication to the city's soul is expressed through the design, brand, art, amenities, and community programs - all carefully selected to be additive to and reflective of the innovation & creativity that makes Cleveland so specialJOB OVERVIEWThe Sales Manager is responsible for effectively prospecting, soliciting, and closing group business, meetings, and events. A Sales Manager will also implement sales strategies, build and maintain client relationships, and meet or exceed sales goals.What you'll do:Consistently achieve budget by securing new business and maintaining a repeat client list through rapport building and account managementRegularly meet with potential clients and planners to conduct tours of the property and review available services; entertain clients on property, lead site inspections, pre-planning trips, and program operations when appropriateNegotiate group rates, food and beverage pricing, meeting room rental, A/V rental, and other hotel servicesEstablish and maintain contacts with top and target accounts through phone calls, tours, appointments, correspondence, and entertainmentMaintain detailed and meticulously organized account files, system profiles, and accurate systems dataRespond to all leads/RFP's and other sources of potential business opportunities in a timely mannerNetwork with client prospects to determine decision-makersParticipate in the hotel's weekly resume and BEO meetings to review upcoming events with the operations teamParticipate in sales blitzes and brainstorming sessions to increase outbound sales results for the hotel's businessAssist in the development and implementation of special projects as assignedWho you are:You believe in hospitality, deeply and passionately.You know how important relationships are and you find joy in growing and maintaining new ones.You use your time wisely and are an expert in prioritizing and multi-tasking.You're creative, take initiative, and are willing to find solutions.You have strong computer skills and the ability to pick up on software programs quickly.You're thorough, have excellent communication, and pay close attention to detail.You have a strong work ethic and can work both autonomously and with a team.A plus: You have 1+ years of experience in hotel-focused sales preferred.BENEFITSWe are proud to offer competitive wages and the following benefits for full-time employees:Up to 3 weeks paid time off annually50% off discount at most New Waterloo restaurantsHealth, vision + dental benefits401K matchingPaid holidaysVolunteer payTuition reimbursementReferral bonusesDiscounts at our shops, hotels + local partnershipsABOUT NEW WATERLOONew Waterloo is a community-centric independent hospitality company based in Austin, Texas.
