Job Summary
The Eagle Diversity Education Center (EDEC) is dedicated to developing and sustaining an academic, social and cultural environment that embraces and supports diverse student populations. Office Workers are responsible for providing essential office support by managing resources and reservations; cleaning and maintaining the center; copying and filing; and processing mail and packages. The EDEC Office Worker provides assistance on special projects and tasks for departmental staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
30% Administrative support: copying, filing, data entry; maintaining supplies in work room cabinets, printer, and copiers; collecting and processing mail and packages; ensuring the healthy appearance of the center.
90% Reception: assisting visitors, staff, and student employees; answering emails and phone calls; making sure students sign in and out of the center.10% Event Planning and Execution: setting up for events; creating marketing material; advertising events; working events.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum RequirementsMust be a current MSU studentMust maintain satisfactory academic progressMust feel comfortable using nominal judgment and possess basic analytical or decision-making skillsMust have the ability to understand and to follow written and verbal instructionsMust be able to operate basic equipment such as copier, telephone, etc.
