General Summary:
This role will provide oversight and have responsibility for the Company's net revenue accounting, reporting, and analytics as well as oversee all activities related to Medicare cost report filings and state Medicaid Supplemental programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee the preparation and calculation of contractual allowance and bad debt reserves to ensure the Company's financial statements are accurate on a monthly basis by leading a team of six direct reportsProvide system-wide analysis and reporting on monthly trends related to accounts receivable and net revenueProvide explanations of variances to budget and forecast to Hospital senior leadership on a monthly basisDevelopment of new processes and analytical tools to improve the Company's insights into net revenue fluctuations and variancesProvide oversight and approval of all annual Medicare cost report filings for each facilityOversee the preparation and calculations of state Medicaid Supplemental revenues and provider taxes on a monthly basisEnsures compliance with all internal controls related to the contractual and bad debt allowance reserve calculation processWorks closely with the Treasury and FP&A departments to ensure compliance with asset-based lending (ABL) requirementsWill play an integral role in the development of the net revenue budget on an annual basisWill be the subject matter expert (SME) for the Crowe Revenue Cycle Analytics (RCA) toolProvide due diligence support related to net revenue; assist in the development of financial pro-forma models for strategic initiatives, including acquisitions and divestituresManage relationships and communications with the QHC Corporate Operations Team, Corporate Accounting, Internal and External Audit, Hospital senior leadership, and QHC senior leadershipWork closely with Revenue Cycle Management vendor (R1) to ensure all impacts on net revenue are explained and understoodKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Crowe RCA knowledge requiredRevenue cycle and healthcare reimbursement knowledge requiredStrong accounting knowledge and experienceExcellent in Excel (pivot tables, V-lookup's, etc.)Critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesWork Experience, Education and Certifications:
5+ years in Healthcare Reimbursement/Net Revenue/Revenue Cycle experience required10+ years in relevant Healthcare experience preferredBS/BA preferred in a related field or relevant experience requiredMaster's degree and/or CPA license preferredTravel Requirements:
Minimal travel may be required.
