Overview of the Assistant Controller role:The Assistant Controller will support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and financial analysisThe Assistant Controller will assist in development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and systemsOversee the daily accounting operations while mentoring and training staffCoordinate the preparation and filing of SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K) and ensure timely and accurate submissionCollaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate annual audits, quarterly reviews, and SOX testingSupport special projects, financial analysis and ad hoc reporting as needed
Preferred Qualifications for the Assistant Controller:CPA requiredPublic accounting firm highly preferred5 years of relevant accounting experience with exposure to publicly traded company
