Summary The Lead Electrician leads and coordinates the work of electricians in installing, maintaining, repairing, and removing electrical systems, equipment and fixtures in new retail and office build outs. Work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and company policies and procedures. Essential Functions: Coordinate day-to-day operation of work orders in field operations. Monitor the quality of work performed by electricians and ensure timely completion of assigned work. Assist in training electrical staff including apprentices. Diagnose the cause of electrical outages and interruptions in electrical systems, including transformers, motors and switch gears, lighting fixtures, junction boxes, switches, cords, and outlets; repair lights, timers, and fire/smoke detectors. After diagnosis, determine the following course(s) of action: Repair or replace electric motors on multiple types of equipment. Replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors and position sensing devices using proper tools. Repair faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards, using electronic test equipment and proper tools. Replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatuses in buildings. Maintain electrical installation and electrical fixtures and equipment, repair electrical systems. Assists in the maintenance, repair, and computer programming of the HVAC systems. May perform as a HVAC Technician during an absence. Does related work as required. Positive interface with property management staff, other employees and third-party vendors. Be courteous and respectful with tenants and contractors. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Technical associate degree preferred 5 years of related experience Electricians license in PA Supervisory experience of a team of electricians Valid PA drivers license Thorough knowledge of local and national electrical codes and standard electrical procedures. Knowledge of and skill in all phases of electrical installation and repair; the operation of all electrical tools and test equipment used in electrical installation and repair; applying occupational safety precautions and practices. OSHA related safety training Physical Demands: While performing the essential functions of these positions, the employee is required to transport ladders, power and hand tools and electrical equipment, such as fixtures and rolls of wire, and to climb and work on ladders, stay in a stationary position for extended periods of time, and on close to the floor; occasionally transports equipment weighing up to 100 pounds. Electrician work requires concentrated mental and visual attention for sustained periods of time. Working Conditions: Working conditions include working at heights and overhead, and exposure to inclement weather and high voltage electricity. These positions are typically exposed to any number of elements with one continuously present to the extent of being objectionable. Positions require the ability to be available twenty-four hours a day for emergency response. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $42,500.00 - $68,500.00 per year Work Location: In person
