Position Description
XLA is looking for an Administrative Financial Analyst to support a federal agency in Arlington, VA (metro accessible).
The duties and responsibilities are as follows:Analyzes and processes financial and accounting reports, deliverables, accounts payable, cost accruals, and disbursements.Analyzes electronic and hard copy records for accuracy and completeness to include making sure data is entered in a consistent format and to ensure data integrity.Analyzes records and data to identify trends, patterns and anomalies.Assists in scheduling and preparation of program activities.Assists with maintaining spreadsheets of obligations, accounts payable, and disbursementsAttends organizational meetings, working groups, and briefings.Conducts office support functions such as answering the phone, distributing mail, maintaining calendars, data entry, document scanning and reserving and coordinating meetings and conference rooms.Configures data in excel spreadsheet of moveable property, vehicles, portable electronic devices, supplies, and first-class mail management.Creates and filing hard and soft copy office documents.Develops spreadsheets, tracking tools and preparing reports and presentations using Microsoft Office products.Manages data of moveable property; capitalized and non-capitalized property, portable electronic devices, first class mail and supplies.Maintains and tracks preparation and delivery status of data or financial deliverables.Performs customer service activities with DEA stakeholders.Performs other related administrative duties as assigned.Performs procedure review to confirm all required documentation is completed and submitted for equipment/property/supplies/first class mail.Performs research and data collection to locate missing information.Processes information using different word processing packages.Receives and inspects equipment, affixing barcodes and generating inventory records.Resolves data discrepancies and/or recommend solutions.Responds to office inquiries.Tracks, organizes, records, modifies, identifies, validates, and analyzes, and reporting financial and accounting data relating to procurement of commodities, services, or supplies, intra-agency agreements; account deliverable and receivables.Responsible for handling Transit Subsidy payments for government employees who utilize public transportationResponsible for processing paperwork with relocation moving companies related to DEA Federal employees moving on PCS ordersPosition will entail processing invoices, obligating and de-obligating funds, processing RITA vouchers, and processing real estate vouchers related to PCS moves.Position will utilize the following Federal IT platform and systems:
UFMS, M-Link and
FIRST*Ability to learn and utilize multiple financial systems
*Assist with paying invoices
*Strong customer service
*Strong analytical skills
*Ability to communicate effectively
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and two years of relevant experience.
