OverviewWork as part of a team in the periodic preparation of GAAP and Statutory financial statements.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of the monthly/quarterly/annual GAAP and STAT financial statements and supporting schedules.
Preparation and input of monthly journal entries to the Oracle EBS General Ledger.
Reconciling External system monthly files/interface files to GL.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and other assigned general ledger account analysis.
Prepare periodic GAAP management reports as assigned.
Assist with internal and external audit requests.
Reconcile GAAP to STAT differences.
Other accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
2+ years’ accounting experience required.
Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must understand GAAP accounting principles.
Insurance industry and statutory accounting practices and procedures knowledge is preferred.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and V Look ups).
Working knowledge of Oracle EBS and WINGS a plus.
