The role of the Delivery Director partners with the CEO to chart a course and execute a vision on how Steel Point can strengthen delivery as it scale's and grows.
Job Summary
The Delivery Services Director will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for the oversight, management, and execution of services rendered to internal and external clients based on Steel Point's Digital Transformation solutions. Profit and loss responsibility of Federal Civilian portfolio. Analyze market trends specific to Steel Point's solutions and services and create and implement business and marketing plans and strategies to meet goals and objectives. Identify, execute and monitor goals that contribute to the overall success of the company. Reexamine and modify strategies that are not pushing the business unit to meet its goals. Interface directly with lead-customers, suppliers and across Steel Point services to achieve program success. Ensure each program is properly staffed and structured to achieve optimal support and growth opportunities. Lead key customer relationship management. Train and mentor staff, including maturing the capabilities for project managers. This position will include the opportunity to build out and strengthen a delivery management team, which will be co-created with the CEO to ensure the organization has sustainable support and infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing and managing Steel Point's delivery to a broad range of clients within our Federal Civilian (IRS, DHS, GSA, DOC) portfolio. Responsibilities and areas of proficiency include but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership:
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships within Government organizations falling within Federal Civilian portfolio.Client Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction.Program and Portfolio Oversight:
Oversee the successful delivery of programs and portfolios working closely with Program / Project Managers, ensuring high-quality execution, adherence to timelines, and achievement of project milestones while cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Responsible for the creation and delivery of quarterly portfolio reviews to the CEO and other Business Unit Leaders.Delivery Execution:
Drive the execution of Steel Point Delivery governance frameworks and process artifacts in accordance with Steel Point's integrated service management system that enhance compliance, risk management, and the overall effectiveness of project delivery.T echnology Solution Oversight and Integration:
Ensure Go-To-Market (GTM) and delivery efforts infuse Steel Point's established technical solutions, including identifying opportunities to mature technical assets built in delivery into broader service offerings. Provide support to product and asset aligned teams on how to effectively integrate with projects and business development efforts. Future state, oversee the identification and onboard a technology product and delivery leader.Financial Performance/Management:
Strong financial performance, with programs and portfolios delivered within budget and achieving profit and loss targets. Targets and performance goals to be set in collaboration with the CEO and head of business development on an annual basis. Responsible for the creation and delivery of monthly financial reviews to the CEO, and Business Unit Leaders. Manage the financial performance of programs and portfolios, ensuring profitability, cost efficiency, and alignment with financial goals. Activities and reporting will be coordinated with existing finance and accounting functions.Business Development:
Working with Strategy and Growth / Business Development Business Unit Lead and CEO to forecast, manage and drive growth across assigned portfolio of 10% or more over the course of each fiscal year. Participate in business development, capture, and proposal activities.People Management Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of program managers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Meet regularly with project teams to stay aware of project related issues, risks and accomplishments. Work closely with Program Managers to ensure their teams are enabled for success as they support the mission of their clients. Coordinate across Steel Point support components (Human Capital, Finance and Accounting, etc.) to ensure people management needs are being met.Risk Management:
Provide strategic oversight for risk management, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of risks across all engagements. Ensure corrective actions are taken in a timely manner and ensure Steel Pont CEO and Business Unit Leaders are briefed.Stakeholder Engagement:
Demonstrate capability thought leadership and solutioning expertise across portfolio. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of delivery outcomes with client expectations and organizational goals.Continuous Improvement:
Lead efforts to continuously improve delivery processes, governance practices, and client engagement strategies.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field13+ years of experience in program, portfolio, and governance management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale engagements and managing executive-level client relationships.10+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex programs with significant budgets and strategic importance.10+ years of experience implementing governance frameworks, compliance, and risk management best practices.Experience overseeing the profitability and financial performance of major projects and portfoliosPreferred Qualifications
Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferredPMP, PgMP, or equivalent certifications are a plus

The salary range represents a general guideline; however, Steel Point Solutions considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
