The Summa Health System Behavioral Health Institute is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and driven Mental Health Therapist to join our well-established Department of Psychiatry team of 40+ clinicians.

The selected candidate will become a member of the Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of 400+ physicians employed by the Summa Health System. Summa is also home to Juve Family Behavioral Health Pavilion, a new, state of the art, facility that is dedicated to delivering a full continuum of behavioral health care. Summa's vast healthcare system offers psychologists a variety of opportunities to practice in many different medical and behavioral health settings.

Summary:The Integrated Mental Health Therapist provides clinical mental health services to patients of both the Women's Health and Pelvic Health clinics including: patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation and individual, family, couples and/or group therapy. This role is responsible for facilitating interventions and programs for chronic, acute and/or severe disease management, utilizing evidence-based psychotherapy models, lifestyle medicine and psychoeducation. The Mental Health Therapist works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, and serves as a consultant to medical teams by providing content expertise in mental and emotional health.

Formal Education Required:a. Master's Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling or Related Field.b. Active Licensed Independent Social Worker or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LISW or LPCC).

Experience & Training Required:a. Three (3) years of experience in the outpatient therapy setting to include:i. One (1) year experience specific to the Women's Health population.b. Demonstrated competence in treating victims of sexual trauma.c. Demonstrated competency in conducting diagnostic assessment, and ongoing therapy with the adult outpatient population.d. Demonstrated experience in creation of effective and appropriate treatment plans, documentation of services provided and consistent communication with other providers.e. Demonstrated experience with managed care reimbursement including utilization review and appropriateness of care concepts.

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:a. Experience working in Health Psychology, providing assessment consultation and intervention to medical teams, is preferred. In lieu of experience, candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the psychiatric and psychological impact of chronic, acute and/or severe health challenges.b. Ability to effectively interact with diverse populations of patients/customers from a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

Level of Physical Demands:a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
