Position Summary:

Financial Reporting Analyst, Investment Reporting is responsible for supporting the acquisition of new investments and quarterly financial reporting for current portfolio investments.

Essential Functions:Conduct primary and secondary research on governing documents and documentation necessary to support the valuation and resulting advance rate for potential acquisitions of new portfolio investmentsProvide quantitative and analytical support for valuing the existing portfolio of investments comprising the loan collateral during the quarterly financial statement reporting processInterface with multiple groups within the firm during each of these processes, including Originations, Risk, and AccountingAssist in the development of a proprietary data system that will serve as the repository for investment-level history and derivative calculations necessary to monitor the portfolio to comply with internal and regulatory requirementsAssist Underwriting with ad hoc modelling projects relating to valuation or advance rate analysisDevelop the knowledge and technical understanding over several cycles to become a candidate for promotion to Underwriting AssociateKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Ability to review and analyze accounting, financial, investment, and regulatory statementsStrong qualitative skills such as possessing a firm analytical framework for assessing and describing the requirements of a complex task and the detailed steps need to complete itComfortable in a team-oriented environment, with the ability to coordinate data-flow across multiple groupsHigh focus on attention to detail and the commitment to produce error free workMust have the endurance, grit, and discipline to produce quality deliverables Additional qualities: strong communication skills, self-motivated, integrity, intellectual curiosityQualifications:

Bachelor's Degree requiredCPA, or working towards CPA is helpful2+ years as an auditor in public accounting or industry experience in fund administration or financial reporting for investment fundsWell-developed, or advanced, Excel skillsProven instances of coordinating multiple teams through a data-flow process with a demonstrable final product
