Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Maintains site plumbing, refrigeration and heating systems. Inspects, services, and repairs all refrigeration and heating systems site. Complies with the required federal and state codes involving refrigerant use, handling, storage, and documentation. Regulates the heating and ventilation equipment. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned equipment. Operates, maintains, and repairs potable water supply and distribution systems. Identifies plumbing deficiencies, and submits work requests. Maintains and repairs sanitary sewer piping, and performs annual cleaning routines. Involved in a back-flow prevention program consisting of design, installation, maintenance and inventory cross connection, and back flow devices. Operates, maintains, and repairs all installed plumbing equipment including but not limited to: facility potable water systems, sewage systems, fire sprinklers, plumbing fixtures, water treatment systems, and fuel supply systems in accordance with (IAW) military directives and the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC). Operates, maintains, and repairs refrigeration systems IAW all federal, state, local DoD, and military regulations. Complies with all safety and security regulations. Must be capable of physically performing work to including lifting 50 pounds, complete repetitive manual tasks, and work effectively with protective clothing, masks, face shields, fall protection harnesses, and tool belts. Performs other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: High School Diploma or equivalent. Five years' experience in facility heating ventilating and air conditioning maintenance. Back-flow Prevention certification when applicable. Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card. Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations. Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position. Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract. U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
