The Supercharger Service Engineering team is looking for a seasoned, passionate and collaborative Product Engineer to lead the North American growth of the Supercharger Network. With a mandate to maintain and improve the industry-leading uptime of the global Supercharger network while supporting an unprecedented scaling, a successful applicant will apply solid first principles and leverage data analytics collected from our connected systems across the world to proactively find and solve issues with the Supercharger fleet. A successful applicant will lead collaborative efforts with our global teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, document, and train our organization to ensure our customers have the best possible experience.
Responsibilities
Drive cross-functional efforts and initiatives to implement fleet improvements with the manufacturing, design, field service, technical support teamsLead, mentor, and grow engineers into global product engineering expertsWork with the wider engineering and manufacturing teams to drive design and manufacturing product improvements in both existing and future productsWork with field service and technical support teams to create documentation and training to support field commissioning, service actions, and to ensure consistent and stable global service operationsUtilize remote data analysis, fleet analytics and first principles insights to solve problems with some lab work and onsite investigations as neededTroubleshoot and root cause hardware, software and firmware issues of the global Supercharger networkRequirements
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experienceExperience with product engineering, reliability engineering, failure analysis, systems test engineering, or product quality engineeringWorking knowledge of SQL, Spark and PythonStrong engineering fundamentals and intuition, applied to firmware/software/hardware of connected systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands on experience debugging complex systemsDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally in a collaborative manner across many teamsExceptional capacity for managing simultaneous tasks and challengesExceptional communication skills, including to leadership and executive levelsExperience with charging standards is a plusExperience leading a team is a plusCompensation and BenefitsBenefits

$124,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
