Staff Supercharger Product Engineer, NAM Market Leader

The Supercharger Service Engineering team is looking for a seasoned, passionate and collaborative Product Engineer to lead the North American growth of the Supercharger Network. With a mandate to maintain and improve the industry-leading uptime of the global Supercharger network while supporting an unprecedented scaling, a successful applicant will apply solid first principles and leverage data analytics collected from our connected systems across the world to proactively find and solve issues with the Supercharger fleet. A successful applicant will lead collaborative efforts with our global teams to diagnose, troubleshoot, document, and train our organization to ensure our customers have the best possible experience.
Responsibilities
Drive cross-functional efforts and initiatives to implement fleet improvements with the manufacturing, design, field service, technical support teams Lead, mentor, and grow engineers into global product engineering experts Work with the wider engineering and manufacturing teams to drive design and manufacturing product improvements in both existing and future products Work with field service and technical support teams to create documentation and training to support field commissioning, service actions, and to ensure consistent and stable global service operations Utilize remote data analysis, fleet analytics and first principles insights to solve problems with some lab work and onsite investigations as needed Troubleshoot and root cause hardware, software and firmware issues of the global Supercharger network Requirements
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience Experience with product engineering, reliability engineering, failure analysis, systems test engineering, or product quality engineering Working knowledge of SQL, Spark and Python Strong engineering fundamentals and intuition, applied to firmware/software/hardware of connected systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands on experience debugging complex systems Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally in a collaborative manner across many teams Exceptional capacity for managing simultaneous tasks and challenges Exceptional communication skills, including to leadership and executive levels Experience with charging standards is a plus Experience leading a team is a plus Compensation and Benefits Benefits

$124,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
