Summary
Plan, coordinate and control all HR activities for non-executive employees in order to meet budget and HR targets (e.g. recruiting, employee development, etc.). Furthermore, the HR Manager initiates and implements action plans for continuous improvement of all HR relevant processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assignedTo perform the job successfully, an individual will need to perform the following competencies.Manage and coordinate all HR activities for the plantTranslate plant HR strategy into action plans and ensure implementationDrive the implementation of the Corporate HR Initiatives in the Location (e.g. culture development, diversity)Contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning)Ensure the achievement of HR targets according to internal and external customer expectations (e.g. high quality of processes, data management and tools)Participate in HR reviews and audits and implement required actionsBalance responsibility appropriately as both a business and employee advocateInitiate and implement continuous improvement activities by applying CBS methods and training measures (e.g. lean administration)Initiate and control investments for HR equipment (e.g. HR software tools, external trainings, etc.)Interface to segment, BU or division functions in order to gather local HR requirements and demands and other feedbackParticipate in and/or steer global or local HR related and cross-functional projectsConduct employee dialogues, personnel development and coachingPrepare, review and manage the budget and forecast of HR cost centersEnsure timely submission of financial data to controllingImplement and conduct activities according to the budget establishedEnsure that the financial goals are metAdministrate payroll and benefits as well as personnel file, training and expat administration, exit management and timekeeping according to standards respecting budget and legal requirementsSteer and manage job evaluation, plant compensation policies and programs or compensation market benchmarkingSteer and facilitate annual salary reviewResponsible regarding collective bargaining together with plant and/or legal entity managementPlan and implement local employee relations measures (e.g. motivation, conflict resolution, events, communication, etc.) to ensure positive work cultureResponsible local labor law adherence (e.g. minimum wage, working hours, labor agreement, etc.) according to standardsRepresent the organization to the local community (i.e. employee representatives, spokesmen committee, local union) administrate payroll and benefits as well as personnel file, training and expat administration, exit management and timekeeping according to standards respecting budget and legal requirementsEnsure the availability of qualified employees for the HR functionInitiate and control the continuous qualification of HR employees (e.g. training Design, training Delivery)Ensure HR (KPI) monitoring and reporting (e.g. headcount reporting, labor availability, recruiting success, etc.) in cooperation with plant management and controllingInitiate and control measures to improve CBS performanceEnsure local implementation and application of central HR standardsProvide feedback and input for further development of standards regarding HR processes and IT (e.g. recruiting process, personnel file management, etc.) to segment, BU or divisional functionsQuantity of Work

Education and/or Experience
University degree, preferably in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration or related discipline5 or more years of professional experience in various HR functions2 years or more cross-functional experience e.g. in controlling, quality or CBS, cross-divisional move or external company experience
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
