This position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. Oversee and control/directs multi-site HR responsibilities in accordance with the policies and practices of the Company, social and ethical business practices, and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations.This position is also responsible for the collective bargaining units and agreements in designated facilities, including negotiations and dispute resolutions.Essential FunctionsImplement, direct and evaluate CDI's Human Resources function and performance in designated locations.Act as a true Business Partner to, and be a part of, local Plant Management to help locations achieve their goals, budgets, and plans. Provide necessary support, advice, counsel, and guidance to line management and employees in designated locations.Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale at each plant/location.Translate the strategic and tactical business and HR plans into local and standardized practices.Oversee and assist Operations and Corp HR to develop staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify internal and external talent for positions of responsibility.Establish credibility at designated locations with management and the employees with a high level of integrity and confidentiality in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues.Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce human resources policies and procedures of CDI by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the business.Manage the labor relations functions of CDI including maintaining amicable working relationships with Local unions, if applicable.Negotiate competitive collective bargaining agreements that are favorable to both CDI and the employees to lessen the threat of work stoppages.Coordinate the activities, programs and strategic HR plans of other HR departments throughout the company.Maintain knowledge of HR policies, programs, laws and issues.Understand the differences of federal and state laws, policies and programs and coordinate the integration and compliance of all such programs.Work closely with the local safety departments on overlapping areas. Follow all safety and working rules.Maintain the ability to get along with co-workers, management personnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with the company policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious and conducive work environment.Maintain a positive attitude and contribute towards a quality environment.Excellent regular full-time attendance in support of company objectives.Use initiative and judgment in making decisions, keeping with CDI best interests.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Supervisory Responsibilities
The Human Resources Manager may have one or more Human Resources Generalists and/or Coordinators reporting to him/her.Qualifications

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.8-10 years of directly related and highly progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong Human Resources generalist.Broad knowledge in each of the Human Resources functional areas - Recruiting/Selection, Benefits, Compensation, Performance Management, Organization Planning and Staff/Executive Development, Employee relations, EEO/Affirmative Action, Legal Compliance and Payroll.Strategic Business Partner - expertise in strategic planning and execution; total company perspective in designing Human Resources programs and systems.Proven management skills including planning, supervision, mentoring and coaching.Knowledge of computerized information systems used in Human Resource applications.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent is required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Preferred:Professional in Human Resources (PHR, PHR-CA, or SHRM-CP) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR, SPHR-CA, or SHRM-SCP).
