Our INVISTA Orange, TX facility is seeking entrepreneurial, innovative individuals to join our team as a Console Operator (CO). Our Team In this role, you will work a 12-hour rotating shift and the schedule is subject to change with notification, depending upon business needs. Additionally, must be available to work scheduled (Planned) or unscheduled (unplanned/short-notice hours on nights and/or weekends, holidays as needed), to meet business needs. What You Will Do Operate and monitor production units with distributed control systems and other process automation to ensure safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient manufacture of nylon intermediate products. Operate process equipment according to established operating procedures, production plans, and safety guidelines. Optimize unit operation through reduction of raw material/energy usage. Engage in proactive safety initiatives such as emergency drills and incident analysis to prevent accidents and environmental incidents. Develop improvement ideas and coordinate with engineering and other support teams to improve process safety, environmental performance, and efficiency. Utilize advanced analytics and anomaly detection tools to take proactive action and prevent process upsets. Complete necessary field qualifications prior to advancing to the console. This also entails periodic field operations assignments to maintain qualifications and to support the field team during non-routine events. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) 3 years' console operation experience. OR Process technology degree or college degree in science, engineering, or business. This role is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. What Will Put You Ahead 5 years' experience in a Process unit as a console operator Advanced process troubleshooting experience Previous experience in process hazard analysis (PHA) Previous experience in leading and participating in root cause analysis (RCA) Physical Requirements Must be able to meet all physical requirements through a Physical Abilities Test (i.e., lifting up to 50 lbs., able to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, wearing all PPE, and working in different climates and conditions) Due to field operations responsibilities, must be medically fit to wear a full-face respirator and maintain a clean-shaven face This role works a 12-hour rotating shift schedule with overtime required to meet 24/7 staffing requirements This role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test.
