Position Overview
The VP of Finance will serve as a strategic partner to the founder, providing essential financial insights and oversight in a dynamic industry. This role encompasses cash flow management, tax advisory, real estate transactions, and operational oversight, all while building a robust C-suite team. The VP of Finance will also take on responsibilities as the Controller for their gaming operations, ensuring compliance and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:Strategic Partnership with the FounderCollaborate with the founder to develop and execute a financial strategy that aligns with the company's vision and growth objectives in the casino gaming industry.Provide insights into financial implications of business decisions, including expansion opportunities and operational efficiencies.
Tax Advisory and ComplianceAdvise on tax strategies specific to the gaming industry, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Coordinate with tax professionals to optimize tax liabilities and manage reporting obligations.
Cash Flow ManagementOversee cash flow planning, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs and strategic initiatives.Implement financial forecasting models to manage cash reserves effectively.
Real Estate TransactionsLead financial evaluations and negotiations related to real estate transactions, including property acquisitions and lease agreements.Assess the financial viability of new locations and expansions within the gaming market.
Operational OversightAssume the role of Controller for our client, overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance within gaming operations.Ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting of gaming revenues, expenses, and regulatory requirements.
Building a C-Suite TeamPlay a key role in building a high-performing C-suite team, including recruiting, mentoring, and developing finance and operational leadership talent.Foster a collaborative culture that aligns with the company's values and strategic goals.
Stakeholder EngagementAct as the primary financial liaison with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and regulatory agencies.Prepare and present financial reports to the board and family stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA required.Significant experience in financial leadership roles within the casino gaming industry or related sectors preferred.Strong knowledge of real estate laws, tax compliance, and financial management best practices.Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to work collaboratively with a founder and operational team in a family-oriented environment.What They Offer
