The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst will play a pivotal role in our BI Modernization development , including the establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs), User training on new tools, development of self-service first data and assets , and the promotion of data democratization. This role requires a blend of expertise in both data analytics and business intelligence, ensuring that enterprise-wide data initiatives are aligned with business objectives and best practices. The BI Analyst will work cross-functionally with various departments across Medline, providing high visibility and impact.
Responsibilities
Business Intelligence:Design and develop enterprise-wide and departmental business intelligence, data warehousing, and reporting solutions.Synthesize complex data into executive summaries, providing insights into operational metrics and KPIs that drive business decisions.Participate in defining best practices for report development, testing, access management, and report refresh scheduling.Lead end-to-end model design, from dashboard creation to deployment and ongoing maintenance.Gather requirements and create comprehensive business requirement documents.Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets, translating analyses into actionable recommendations.Develop, monitor, and report on self-service data and data quality KPIs.Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.Skills and Experience:
3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Engineering, or software development.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate business processes and concepts into technical requirements.Proven ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with team members and business users.Experience working with cross-functional teams.Proficient in data analysis, visualization, and reporting.Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.Strong proficiency in medium to high complexity SQL.Proven experience in KPI development and deployment.Knowledge of Microsoft Azure stack for BI/Analytics (ADLS, Synapse, ADF).Understanding of Self-Service Analytics frameworks and deployment.Preferred Skills
Experience with SAP HANA.Proficiency in Python.Microsoft Fabric
