Transportation of Goods: Safely load, transport, and deliver products to various locations, following the designated routes and schedules.
Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections, checking fuel, oil, water, brakes, lights, and other safety equipment to ensure the truck/Trailer is in safe operating condition. Report any issues promptly.
Load and Unload Freight: Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo to ensure it is safely secured, especially when transporting heavy or oversized items
Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and, where required, delivery vehicles.
Compliance and Safety: Follow all DOT regulations and company policies, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local laws related to vehicle operations and safety.
Documentation and Reporting: Complete all required paperwork, including Bills of Lading, trip reports, inspection logs, and delivery receipts. Maintain accurate records of hours, miles driven, and fuel expenses.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and driving safety standards.
Proficiency in using GPS, electronic logging devices (ELDs), and other routing tools.
Ability to load/unload freight and safely handle heavy or oversized items.
Good communication skills and professional attitude.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in commercial driving is a plus.
Licensing :
Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
