THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our west Finance team. Ideally, you are a dynamic, motivated, and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a rapidly changing environment. You will coordinate the company's month-end closing and consolidation process; and generate and interpret financial records and statements for management. The person in this role will prepare budgets and forecasts, support special projects, and work on continuous process improvements across the platform, in order to maintain a strong control environment. This developmental position will provide for excellent future career opportunities across the entire national Sciens platform.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)Coordinate monthly closing process across the Sciens platform.Prepare consolidated financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow).Analyze financial performance and prepare financial and operational projections.Assess and forecast key performance indicators.Prepare presentations for monthly management reviews.Prepare fiscal year-end financial statements and corporate tax returns; assist audit activities.Prepare external financial and bank compliance reports.Coordinate the annual budgeting planning process for the company.Research and provide opinions on proper GAAP accounting treatment for new processes.Perform financial analysis related to prospective acquisitions.Effectively analyze and reconcile financial data with attention to detail.Participate in special projects as requested, such as implementation of the new ERP system.WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.Two to five years of related experience in finance, accounting or audit.Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles.Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting is preferred.Exercise sound judgment in performing subjective accounting analysis.Maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.Work independently and successfully as a team member.Strong organizational and planning skills, and an ability to perform under pressure.Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.Solid work ethic.Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, preferably Microsoft D365.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Ability to travel up to 20%.WHAT WE'RE BRINGING TO THE TABLE
