About this Position
Primerica is seeking an experienced and technical Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations, who will perform in a key role responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational elements of Primerica's compute, storage, employee and field agent communication and collaboration tools, and disaster recovery services. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure is performant, secure, resilient, and agile enough to adapt to new business challenges and technology trends.
The salary range for this role is 195k - 225k
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Develop and implement a cohesive infrastructure strategy that aligns with company goals and technology shifts, incorporating ITSM frameworks.Lead secure, high-availability systems design and operations, including computing, storage resources, and end-to-end email support.Champion operational excellence via automation, ITSM-driven process enhancements, and implementation of industry best practices.Drive infrastructure optimization for performance, reliability, and scalability with a focus on security and compliance.Manage hardware and software lifecycles with ITSM guidelines and best practices, ensuring effective service management.Manage IT infrastructure budget, optimize spending, and negotiate vendor contracts.Lead disaster recovery and business continuity efforts, minimizing downtime and ensuring swift recovery.Manage relationships with vendors and partners, ensuring infrastructure services meet SLAs.Mentor IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Collaborate with stakeholders to identify infrastructure needs and deliver productivity-enhancing solutions.Essential Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's in computer science/IT/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.10+ years in IT infrastructure, 5+ years in senior leadership.Expertise in systems administration (Unix, Windows Server), enterprise web applications, IBM Power Systems, x86 servers, virtualization (VMware ESXi, Nutanix), and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).Proficiency in HCI technologies, SAN, NAS, system monitoring, performance tuning, Active Directory, LDAP.Demonstrated ITSM and project management practice implementation.Skills in business continuity, disaster recovery, communication, and cross-functional team leadership.Budget management and vendor negotiation skills.Preferred Qualifications:
IT discipline degree preferred.AWS and Azure IaaS experience.Proficiency in IBM WebSphere application server environments.FLSA status:This position is exempt (not eligible for overtime pay):Yes
