Job Title: Architectural Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Healthcare Architectural Project Manager to join a reputable Architecture firm in Downtown Columbus, OH, specializing in healthcare design. This role is focused on maintaining and saturating current client relationships, managing internal project workflows, and overseeing external consultants and construction teams. Travel to client sites will be minimal, with a maximum of 10% travel to Ohio, Kentucky, and Michigan.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of the project management cycle.
Establish project schedules, conduct kick-off meetings, and maintain timelines while communicating with clients, consultants, and designers.
Monitor staffing plans and projected workloads to meet project timelines, budgets, and profitability targets.
Review and assist staff in setting budgets, goals, and preparing work plans.
Work with accounting to invoice clients and resolve financial issues.
Ensure project managers support design intent and quality on all projects.
Review documents for quality, coordination, and compliance with deliverables and client standards.
Review cost estimates and conduct value analysis.
Resolve plan check and approval issues with agencies and clients.
Assist Practice Group Leaders in developing and validating project scope, fee, budget, and services.
Prepare project presentations and participate in client presentations.
Assist in the preparation and execution of consultant contracts and fee negotiations.
Manage net project revenue of $1M-$2M in new contracts through existing clients and new business development activities.
Establish strong relationships with clients and lead project pursuit teams.
Use market and client intelligence to locate new opportunities and prepare proposals.
Work with existing clients to identify upcoming architectural needs.
Ensure additional services requested by clients are billed and invoiced appropriately.
Develop and maintain a network of current and past clients and industry partners.
Direct overall communication of complex project concepts to clients, public agencies, and project team members.
Write RFPs and negotiate contracts and fees with clients and consultants.
Write thought leadership articles for the architecture and construction industry.
Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities.
Assist in developing fee proposals for marketing purposes.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
5-8 years of Architectural Project Management experience focusing on healthcare or large commercial projects.
High-level understanding of design within Revit.
Experience with scoping, scheduling, and budgeting projects while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
AIA certification.
Strong understanding of healthcare industry design and planning.
Proficient in project management and architectural design principles.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. New hires are required to work in the office for the first 90 days for training purposes. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 9 hours per day, and Friday, 4 hours.
