As a
Parts Cleaner,
you'll operate metal cleaning equipment such as vapour blasters, wheelabrators, deburrers and blast cabinets using a variety of blast media to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other material from surfaces of metal parts, castings, and other metal products.
What you'll do :
Perform in process cleaning, air drying and buffingImmerse metal products in chemical cleaning and stripping solutionsPrepare and masks surfaces prior to cleaningPrepare parts for non-destructive testingClean and maintain cleaning tanks and equipment, monitors chemicals through titration checksParticipate in continuous improvement of processesCross trains in other complementary skills to support production requirementsObserve all applicable safety requirementsEducation Requirements:
High School diploma.Position Requirements:
Ability to stand for prolonged periods.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 75% of the average workdayDesired Characteristics:
Thorough knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous materialsThorough knowledge of titrating chemicalsWorking knowledge of material safety data sheets and the handling of hazardous materials/chemicalsWorking knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, MSDS labels and original equipment manufacturer manuals for cleaning and related processesWorking knowledge of production management computer systemsBenefits that make life better:
