DeWitts Radiator, a division of AFCO Performance Group, is seeking a highly motivated Assembly Technician to join our growing team.
Daily activities include pulling and prepping components for radiator core assembly, ensuring components meet general quality requirements, operating core building machinery, and conducting brazing operations. You will use and operate various hand tools and semi-automated equipment to perform daily tasks. In addition, you will flex to many different work areas in the plant, as needed, to gain additional skills.
We are looking for a team member that enjoys goal setting and teaming up to exceed expectations. We work in a climate-controlled environment, Monday through Thursday from 5:30am to 4:00pm. There are NO work hours on Saturdays and Sundays. The most successful team members adapt well to change, notice details naturally, and sincerely care about others & enjoy a family-like atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Complete initial assembly of various products in a fast-paced production facilityMaintain quality control standards to ensure product meets specificationsInterpret work orders and recognize goalsKeep a clean and safe work environmentOperate a Hi-Lo (training and annual certification provided)Operate hand tools and equipment (metal saws, braze furnace, stamping machines)Familiarity with Metric and US measuring standardsMaintain good attendance in accordance with our attendance policyGood oral communication skillsPerform other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:
Frequent pinching, grasping, fine manipulation with fingers, reaching overheadConstant walking, standing, and working with your hands for an entire shiftFrequent bending/reaching, twistingAbility to frequently lift 30 lbs., rarely lift
Minimum Requirements:
3 years of previous manufacturing or trades work experienceA postsecondary degree, apprenticeship, or certificate is preferredEnthusiasm, passion, and pride in your workRecognize and acknowledge the high moral quality and goodwill of the CompanyCapable of working as part of a team and following instruction from a supervisorCompletion of background check and drug screening prior to employment
