Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler/Wire and Cable Assembler and Harnesser, who will also take on roles as a Quality Inspector and Tester. You will be responsible for assembling subassemblies, following work instructions via a manufacturing execution system (MES), and documenting each part of the manufacturing process. The role involves connecting wires and harnesses to modules and PCBAs using hand tools and small power tools. Post-assembly, you will install firmware, perform functional testing, and troubleshoot as necessary.
Hard Skills
Proficient using screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, torque wrenches, needle nose pliers, small power tools
Experience with 42Q manufacturing execution system or similar
Competence in using Outlook and Microsoft Teams
Ability to install firmware and run scripts for testing
Strong computer skills for navigating software programs and entering data accurately
Soft Skills
Attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions precisely
Effective communication skills
Team collaboration

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in San Diego, California.
Work Environment
Contractors will work in an ESD environment and are required to wear lab coats and safety glasses. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Training includes partnering with a technician and moving to another area after three months.
